Mine is going to be Interlagos Blue with sunroof (and auto trans) so these pics are really not helping much.

As to your question, I used to have a E92 M3 in AW looking like this.
Since I sold this E92 because, apart from its exterior look, I was not very satisfied with it (no real M feeling, too much GT-like) and got back to my one and ever loved E46 CSL, I decided in July 2010 to buy this 1 M as soon as possible and have it look like the E92 I had.
I simply look he contrast of carbon or carbon-like colour on a AW BMW. And it is a way of individualising my cars.

It's hard for any roadgoing BMW to overclass the CSL I guess...
