Performance Car Mag - Stylish Diesel Coupes: 123d vs Alfa Brera vs Peugeot 407

Appears to be the same Performance Car Magazine that disappeared in the 90's, with writers forming Evo Magazine. Here's their website:

It's just down to different measuring system US vs. EURO. The could bring any of those in to US with some minor changes, like they are doing now. They (atleast audi/MB) call them Blue tech or something like that. 123d Co rating is only 138.

You're welcome.

Looks like BMW will use a similar system of particulate filter + urea injection for X5 and 3-Series diesels, which will be 50-state compliant. Last I heard, this will be available around October of this year. Don't know if this will be applied across the board for cars in Europe, but if it is, it will make a diesel 1-Series here more likely. If not, then the low volume of 1-Series coupes here might not be worth it. I think the jury is still out on whether Americans can weigh the lower consumption of diesel favorably against the cost of diesel; petrol isn't taxed here nearly as heavily as it is in other countries.
Also bear in mind that the mileage ratings in this article are different from US measuring standards; 1 UK (Imperial) mpg is about .83 US mpg.
