idrive?

so i recently purchased my 09' 135i and it did not come with i-drive is it possible to addon ? how much ? is it worth it?

I've seen retro kits that add iDrive, but in my opinion it's not worth it to retrofit the iDrive. That thing is hooked into so many electronics systems in the car that I'd be very worried about screwing something up.

I will say though - I LOVE my iDrive. I've become totally dependent on it. I love being able to send addresses to the car and then having the nav system get me there. the iPod integration is also nice, though not as nice as the 2011+ models. The new version of iDrive that has the BMW Apps and Combox with ConnectedDrive is so awesome - I am saving up to do the retrofit. Of all the things I love about my car, the iDrive is a big part of why I enjoy spending time just driving. Aside from the pure fun of driving the bimmer, of course!

It's a lot easier and cheaper to add a BMW Portable.
