1) I have not been technical anywhere in my responses so far.
2) I understand the difference.
3) I don't want to move no. I think I will stay in this thread.
4) Thanks for the compliment, but I wouldn't call myself an expert.

I'm sorry you're so upset about all of this.

Yep. Nothing against all the attempts, but, agreed.

HDR is an art, it's tougher than it seems. There's a razor thin margin of it being perfect and on each side of that it can fail dramatically.

Nice job, this one.

Cool shot! Personally I think all the others in this thread but the OP's have been pretty bland. But that one mschrube is great I think.

The first picture looks really cool! And a lot of others on this thread are awesome as well. Perfect and not too overdone.

I'm not a professional by any means. I just like fucking around on computers. Here's a few I did a while ago.. probably overdone :P

I think the HDR technique (at least extreme oversaturated one) has died off a bit. Still a useful thing to have when it's used properly though

Took 3 different exposures for each picture and merged them together. 6 total photos. Loved the sunset.

Amazing! Might I ask, how do you combine 7 exposures into 1 shot?

Don't move camera, shoot an exposure -3 stops then ,-2,-1,0,1,2,3. In photoshop or other HDR capable software, combine the shots and manipulate the levels. HDR just requires a little bit of preplanning.
