128i Window/Convertible Top issue

New to forum. Have searched extensively but not found info. Front driver's side window stopped working (stuck open), push the button and you can hear something moving in door but window doesn't work. Subsequently, the convertible top will not close. Green light on the dash when hold the close top button but nothing happens. Any chance the top not closing is due to the window not working? No issues with top prior to this. Thank you!

had an e46 and window regulator issues was common, not heard of it being an issue on e88's this sounds like it tho.

Just had this happen last month (my passenger front regulator failed with windows fully down so I did not immediately make the connection). Top will not work with any window malfunction. Regulator replaced, top works fine.

Makes sense. Because the first thing that happens when you try to open the top, all the windows (both front and rear) come down before the top even starts to open. If any window is malfunctioning the top will not work.
