OT:438 Rear Wheel KW's

Just went for a drive in this monster this arvo..

438KW's at the rear wheels.

10.4 seconds quarter mile with street tyres.

Absolutely bone shattering acceleration..

Sooo if you line up alongside him on the highway, look the other way..

Sorry, no offence but I just can't get excited about a Toyota.

Haha... how long does it take to heat up?

I am still a fan of tubro rotary since it can run lap after lap.

I have a friend with a 2JZ in a older model IS250 Lexus. Probably a 1/3 to 1/2 the weight of a Supra. That thing is FUN.

I got to drive a ford pursuit ute with 419 rw kws once... those sort of numbers are not to be regarded lightly. Full boot at anything less than 90kmh on the Tullamarine Fwy resulted in loss of traction. Zero to license loss in very little time at all. Best thing was no lag .. 5.4 litres and two medium sized turbos at 7psi took care of that.

Really? I am talking about track temp, not street or drag temp.

Yes the big silver thing is an intercooler. It cools air to get power. If there is just a wee hole for the radiator, it is just cool enough for drag or on the street.

Even our car has problem with heat.

That's a big turbo...T66 or bigger? What was the lag like? I guess you can just keep it above 4K to give your neck a workout!

Not sure on the turbo type, not a toyota person, but He told me it was a 9inch truck turbo..

As far as lag goes, you are correct, he just kept the revs up between 3.5K and 8K the whole time..Didnt even think of lag, too busy enjoying the G force..
