Active Steering?
I was looking at the website...and I couldn't believe this was an "option".
What would steering be like without the "active steering option"?

it's very different from typical power steering ... this might help clear up any confusion....
http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/jk/031112.htm it's a highly contentious issue ... i ordered it but then again i don't track cars. i can see how someone that tracks their car wouldn't want this type of setup.

The more I think about it, I think I'm adding this one. I have driven the new 3-series coupe, and my 2007 X3 for many miles. I don't know if my x3 has it or not, but I do like the steering on both of those said models. I look forward to having feedback before I order my car in May. I'm now glad I've delayed my purchase enough so I can think about these things a bit more.

We have a lot of prior posts on active steering floating around this site - a comprehemsive search would be useful. Another place to look is the BMW website in their technology section.
