Finally need new tires (8.5x18 & 9.5x18)

So my runflats are finally on there way out, and I am looking to have some new tires by next spring. I currently have the factory runflats on my VMR CSL Replicas (8.5x18 Front & 9.5x18 Rear).

I'm sure one or two of you have this setup and I am wondering what tire sizes would be best for this?

I run 18x8.5 +45 and 18x9.5 +50 VMRs on mine with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 Dunlop Direzzas on stock suspension no problem, I like the fitment and feel.

I've used Dunlop Direzzas in the past on my S2000 and found the tire wear to be terrible. I needed new tires in no time with regular daily driving.

How hard are you driving, I've got 16000km and 3 auto x events (70 or so runs) out of mine so far.

Really though. I have about 12k miles on mine over a year and a half so far. This includes 3-4 drag strip days and occasional mountain runs. Still have plenty of tread left.

Maybe I was driving a little more aggressively than I thought. Considering your two experiences with the tires I'll give them another shot.

I've also heard good things about the Michelin pss. they offer great handling like the star specs but are supposed to be way less noisy

We have PSS on my moms 135i and Direzza on my 135i and if you are doing any track or Auto X the Direzza takes heat and abuse a lot better.
