So, not sure if I really qualify, but I purchased a VO new, PDC delivery, October 2011, sold it in May 2012, had terrible regrets, purchased an identical VO in October 2013, still own it and always will. 17,000 miles.

BMW said Aust will get 100.
I went in for an E92 M3, and let them know that I'm still deciding as I don't quite love it. They said how about a 1M, I said can I drive one, they said you can't even look at one and they've all been sold. So you can put $5K down and you will be 28th on a waiting list. I said no thanks. I ordered a Golf R as I just didn't love the M3 and waited for 11 months for the thing and wasn't even bothered. Just not excited about it. Happened upon BMW after this immense wait and they said that the 1M allocation has been increased and a couple are coming in in a few weeks. They advised that one was Black and will go in the M exhibition in the showroom, and the other is White and they haven't told anyone it's coming yet. I said I had a car ordered but would love to see one, came in to see it and drove the Black one, and that was it. Placed a deposit, cancelled the R. 18K and still tearin it up. She's a ripper. |

Asked my dealer to put me on a list the moment the rumors started. Dealers said there is no list. So I just exchanged emails to date stamp my request. Bugged the dealer every month until Oct 2010 when they confirmed the 1M and took my deposit. I was #1 on the list at a Dallas, Tx dealer. Got the car May 2011. Paid sticker. Hard to believe it's been three years.

...the minute I saw the first "strip tease/peel-away cover" pics I was hooked. I went in for servicing of my then e90 and insisted that they take my money and put my name on some sort of list (there wasn't a list as this was late sept 2010). I took delivery of my BSM on May 15 2011 (paid MSRP- deposit) and have been enjoying every mile since. I'm still constantly getting offers from my AD to trade it in... refused a tempting deal on an M5 last summer, recently refused another on the M4... He's gonna try with a F80 in a few weeks... My son my sell it... Not I!!

Ordered in July 2011. Build was in late August. Took delivery 9/28/2011. I was at 49,697 miles tonight. Sunday I'll be autocrossing it at the Meadowlands. In a week or so, I'll be off with it to the SCCA Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska (first week of September, it'll be on a trailer most of the way). It is the last year of DOT-R tires on stock cars (except for the Super Stock class). My swan song in A Stock on Hoosier A6s.

Was lucky to get my allocation because someone backed off. Ordered june 2011, took possession oct 2011. Been a great DD for 3 years, now starting to take it out only on more meaningful drives. Shopping for m4, but no plans to get rid of 1m...ever.

Not in a hurry to sell at all, regardless of upcoming M2. I love my car and it's not very often you can say that you own your dream car. |

Started following the stories about the car in early 2010. Asked my dealer to put me on the list to buy one in August 2010; at that time there was no acknowledgement by BMW that it would actually be produced. Dealer finally accepted my deposit in mid-November 2010. Saw the car at the Detroit auto show in January 2011 and decided that VO was the color. Dealer confirmed in March that they would be getting ONE 1M: mine! Order confirmed in late June 2011. Picked it up at the Performance Center October 21,2011. Now at 24,000 miles. I drive it every day that the weather is good! I plan on keeping it a long time!

Trading in?
I really miss my 1M. If any of you have a no-NAV car and are thinking of trading it and prefer it going to a good home give me a try.
My wishlist if for a manual seat, no nav stock 1M, Many are being traded in for 47-49K. If you are thinking trading in their offer is in that range, drop me note. Thanks Last edited by nachob; 05-24-2015 at 03:54 PM.. |

Still have my white 1M. It has 73,000+ km on it now. It also has numerous minor paint chips and a minor door dent on the left shoulder crease by the Hofmeister kink!
I replaced the OEM PS2's with a set of PSS's this spring. Very happy with them. After several months of research over the winter, I ordered them from my local small town tire shop. Among other things, they change tractor tires!! However, I got a new set of tires, installed and balanced to sub-jail time speeds for less than C$1,600 taxes in. Very happy. I haven't done any mods, other than the DVD In Motion and enabled the euro fog light switch. I'm starting to hmm and haw about getting the Akrapovic slip on system. When the payments are finished, I'm planning on getting an M5, hopefully the next generation is as impressive as the current. (Those OLED lights they showed off on the M4 got me excited) Maybe that's when I'll pull the trigger on the exhaust. Love this car and not planning on letting it go. Here's a picture I took this spring:

18800kms here! Delivered on April 28th 2011. I know I should use it more often but I try to keep it special. I just don't want to use it for anything job related. Still a blast to drive and I don't even consider to trade it for a M2.

I plan on going in on an M2 this Winter. Wish me luck.
My 1M just hit 88,100 miles this past weekend. (World Record holder?) I, like many others, don't plan to ever part from mine - EVER.
