Well, will be leaving the ranks of 1'ers soon for ranks of X3'ers

Placed an order for my next vehicle today.

http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507211

Gotta get some more room for the family. Going to drive with the top down as much as possible until the end of June when I get my new vehicle.

I won't have a 1 after that but I'll still be a 1addict I'm sure.

Good luck, and glad you stayed within the BMW family. The F25 X3 community here is super active so you'll have plenty of company.

Yep, definitely glad I stayed with BMW although there are some vehicles out there I was seriously thinking about before going this direction. The X3 wasn't even on my radar until the last few months reading the great reviews and knowing an M-Sport version was coming.

I was seriously moving towards an S4 but leaving my BMW dealership wasn't going to be easy with their complimentary valet pickup of your vehicle for service and to top it off they leave you a BMW loaner. I almost never go into the dealership or lose time away from work or family because of it. That alone swayed me back to just looking at BMW's.

Best wishes going forward. You were in there with us from the beginning as we were all learning what this 1 series is all about. I picked up a lot of useful information from this forum and had more than a few good laughs along the way.

It's good to see excellent customer service being rewarded by continued business

I confess I'd probably have gone for the S4, but then again my local dealer doesn't pick up my car and typically I get some Chevy loaner from the on-site enterprise rental service

Nice choice. I drove the X3 Xdrive35i a couple of weeks ago. It feels more like a 3 series than a SUV.

Enjoy

Enjoy the X3! I've always been a fan, even of the older models. I had the previous model as a loner for almost a month while a mystery leak was being tracked down on my CPO e36. That should tell you how long ago that was!

Too bad.

Just curious- was there a reason you didn't want to try the 328xiT? Not enough space?

It would be hard to go to a vehicle without the N54/N55 engine. You just get spoiled with all that low end torque. Plus, the new interior (which I'm sure the new 3 series will get as well) is outstanding compared to the 1 we have and the existing E9x interiors.

Thanks Maine1. Yeah, there were quite a few of us right from the beginning. It was really interesting trying to learn as much as we could about the 1 before it was delivered. I'm definitely going to miss the convertible but also the quick and price way the 1 handles.
