Where can I buy performance exhaust without Pipe?

Time to upgrade my n54 135i, looking for n55 midpipe and performance exhaust without the Ypipe. Anyone know where I can get these at a reasonable price new?

Can the exhaust come without Y pipe or is it always together when new?

Edit: title should say Y pipe, on mobile autocorrect got me

I've seen it as always together. I didn't even know that was part of it until I tried to sell my PE exhaust, just the rear section. I'd offer to sell it but I switched back to it.

delete your secondary cats and do the "pe mod" to your current muffler. or you can replace the muffler with a high flow axle-back.

alternatively, a downpipe with secondary cat delete and stock muffler will perform better and drone less.

The plan is VRSF catless down pipes to N55 mids and the performance axleback. I like to keep my stock parts in storage so I can always go back

Tried it and hated the smell and sound. I went back to N54 mids with my DP and PE.

I'm reading different things about smell running 100% catless. Some say its not bad, others say there must be a leak, others say smell is terrible even installed correctly.. Don't know what to think.

What was wrong with the sound? I figured it would sound pretty good eliminating secondary cat with a resonator in place from the n55 midpipe. Also, what did you do with your y pipe?

I had my indy check and everything was installed properly, I do not have a y-pipe (resonator delete). Bottom line, when you're completely catless, there will be a smell, it just depends on how much you can stomach. Sound-wise there was an awful drone around the 1400-1700 range which unlike the autos I can control somewhat, but I mainly do city driving so it still wasn't pleasant. Also, the exhaust note became similar to an 1990 diesel truck.

Once I put back on my N54 about 95% of the smell is gone. I might do the res delete to gain some crackle and pop.

people say replacing your downpipe gasket and ensuring that there are no leaks coming from there should not smell bad.

with the windows up, you probably wont smell anything. when stopped at a light with the windows down or doing WOT pulls you will probably catch a whiff of cats.
