HELP! What is this noise?

Can anyone help identify what the issue might be?

Oddly the issue disappears after revving the car and then reappears a few minutes later

If you are referring to the ticking I believe its the fuel injectors. Same thing with diesel engines. Completely normal I've been told. Sometimes they tick loud; sometimes they are quiet. Mine get louder in the winter months and quiet down in the summer.

How many miles are on your car? I have heard you can replace the injectors and it may fix it... but its costly.

Car has done 42k miles and had its injectors replaced with the latest -12 revision about 5 months ago

I have a feeling it may be the engine oil as it has been about 11 months since I last changed it although I have not done much mileage.

Otherwise possible boost solenoid?

For me, the wastegate rattle was heard on falling revs (and at idle). I posted a video before I got it fixed: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=886391

But in that thread, someone recommended unplugging the vac lines from the two canisters in front of the coolant reservoir. If its the WG, the noise should go away, which it did in my case.

Did you resolve the issue? If so, what was it? I have the same problem sometimes
