Put the black grills on as soon as I got home from PCD. The lights went in today, they're mtec cosmos blue. IMO this is how the lights should have come stock although I haven't seen them at night yet. In the 3rd pic the passenger side is stock.

Not sure if the '11 is different but it was not difficult to replace the bulbs. Each side took five min or less, maybe I just got lucky with the covers.

looks awesome! I'm still waiting on my car, just got my grills yesterday was thinking about popping them in at the dealer lot haha! I'm going to look into those bulbs, where did you get them?

Yup thats them, got them from E92 lighting though. I will try and take some more shots tonight.

You're right; that's how they should look stock. I lean away from modifying mine, since it's a lease, but it's tempting; those look great!

Very nice.. I agree the grills should be like that to match the shadow line out of the box.. but looks great!

Alexandria, will probably tint eventually, I took my old 325 to driven dynamics in rockville, they did a great job.

I'll try and get some night shots tonight, got busy last night.

I'd love to see some more daytime shots too! Was thinking to go with Le Mans & always wanted more examples (never saw it in person), especially with black grilles. Pretty set on gray, but Le Mans sure is beautiful...

yes because the lower kelvin you are the seemingly brighter they are. thats why next to lux and hids the stocks are brighter than the rest.

Any chance you could get some daylight, direct sun shots of these lights? I tried the BMS LED AEs and they were almost invisible in the sun. I had considered these MTEC bulbs, but wanted to know how they looked during the day.

Night time pics? Those AEs seem like a good alternative to the overly bright HID version and won't brake the bank.

The halos are sweet. Not really feeling the black kidney grilles on the blue, but to each their own.

It's not CF, just the BMW perf black kidney grill. No need to disconnect the battery, just follow the directions in the manual. Yeah for the price these are very nice. Thanks for all the comments. Will try and get some more pics soon, car is very dirty right now.
