I have been reading these forums for months, just bought a 135!
Hey guys, like I said I have been reading these forums for months and I decided to buy an 09 135i. I just got it a few days ago and I get excited to drive it to work every day. Mine just rolled 67,000 miles and has a CPO until October. I bought it off a second owner who had BMW decorations all over his garage and home. The thing is mint, not a crease in the brown leather, not a scratch on any of the interior plastics, I opened the hood and it was clean (the owner didn't shine it up either, it was just clean). I paid $17,500 and the guy wanted $22,500 for it originally.
I have never had a toy car and I am loving every minute of it. Now, the car has always been serviced at BWM and the guy said he just had it in for it's 60,000 mile whatever they do at the dealership. What are some things I should do for general maintenance? I am guessing the Stealership probably has the service history... It looks like cleaning the intake valves is pretty popular and will be my first order of business. I have no idea where to start or how to tell what has been done I just ordered the BMS DCI today. I can't wait to start toying around with my car... As long as the warranty doesn't expire then have all hell break loose. Thanks! |

Go to the dealer and have them scan the fob, they can tell you everything that has been done at any BMW dealer for the life of the car. You can find out if it has had fuel pump problems or if the water pump has been replaced. If I were you I would have the fluids changed, transmission and differential. It should have had a brake fluid flush and once a year oil changes, I'm not sure if they would have done a radiator flush or not. Get your fluids changed now, BMW will not pay for them, then when your warranty runs out go have your water pump replaced and then do the intake cleaning.

I agree with everything said above - and congratulations on the new ride, you'll love it. Days like today you just can't get enough... I've gone through a full tank of gas today just driving around.
