What's the diferent between front and rear wheels?
Important, is difference, this size in e82-e88, is diffenrence than e87-e81. About 7mm is wider the e82-e88 rear, than e87-e81.
So these are two difference sizes. It's looks a simple question, but I haven't found the answer. You have to look at this space... If we install the same size front and rear, for example... 8x18 ET40. How many milimetres will finish more into rear than front? I will insert a pic: This is a 8x17 ET20. Front and Rear. I think there is a difference of, aproximatly, 10-12mm more into rear than front with the same sizes front and rear (BMW install for example...in e87-e81, 7,5 ET49 front and 8,5 ET52 rear, this is... 9,7mm diferent between front and rear wheel). Has anyone measured? Because if we install for example, 8,5 ET38 at front, and 9,5 ET38 at rear (12,7 mm difference) aproxmatly both wheels, front and rear, finish with the same difference. Ha! That site really breaks it down 8th grade style. I like it! I just want those freaking 5 spoke 19" wheels that come on the 335i coupes. Or the split 5 spokes on the 335is. Last edited by iNAN3 SOLDi3R; 09-26-2012 at 01:31 PM.. |

With a total difference 9,7mm
half (because is a half each side), inch = 12,7mm. (7,5 front and 8,5 rear). [12,7] + [7,5 wheel] + [12,7] = [8,5 wheel] ET49 (front --- 7,5x18 ET49) to ET52 (rear --- 8,5x18 ET52) = 3mm. WITH 12mm SPACERS front and rear. 264 styling wheels. Last edited by SSunklug; 09-26-2012 at 03:05 PM.. |
