Oil on spark plug

i was getting misfires when running jb4 so i decided to change my spark plugs. They were well over due. Didn't appear previous owner had ever done them. When doing so i removed the plug in cylinder number 2 and it was covered in oil. Cleaned out the oil the best i could and replaced with new plugs. Im curious as to why i have oil on my plug? a leaking gasket somewhere? Car ran great and pulled hard for a few weeks but now misfires are back so i figure ill fix the oil issue while I'm in there swapping coils and figuring out the misfire. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Leaking valve cover gasket or cracked valve cover. Very common. I would replace that ignition coil if it has been oil soaked.

I had oil in the spark plug holes. It ended up being a cracked valve cover.

I had same issue and replaced the valve cover. I hope it's under warranty! The cost to have this replaced out of warranty is between $500-$650.00.

This happened to me as well, it ended up being a cracked valve cover.
