Couldn't wait for Amber gones
Hey guys, since the ambergones have been on back order for over 2 months now, I decided to take action into my own hands!
Went to http://www.metrorestyling.com/ and picked up some chrome tint film and went to work. I used a oval plate, ruler, and an exacto knife to get the perfect cuts. Looks very clean. Took a lot of patience and about 2 hours of my time. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow. I am not 100% finished though. I am thinking about putting 30% tint on top of the whole corner minus the headlights once this film dries. ***UPDATE*** Smoked

More daylight pics:
Also, did 30% to the the white part of the tails. I know some people won't like it, but I think it looks nice with my overall theme:

I'm seriously diggin' in. I was just wondering the other day how just tinting the white reverse lights would look, and now I know it looks sweet. I think you should pick up some of those silver turn signal bulbs, though. The egg yolk look is definitely not working out. Or is that just the old amber poking though? Can't tell...

I may possible extend it out a little further in the further to cover most of it, but I would still want the corner to be functional so you can only cover up so much.

Nothing like making your car less visible to others, front and rear. In case of an accident, you'd better hope your insurance company doesn't decide to make a stink about it. If they do, that would be one costly design choice.
Seriously, don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but I'll just never understand compromising safety for appearance. Flame on.

Love the idea, not a fan of the 'chrome' tint... I'd def. use another light tint on top of it to make it more subtle and less bling.

Exactly what I am doing. Just waiting for this tint film to dry and settle in first.

Very good suspension. Firmer than stock sport which is what I like. Was originally going to go with KW V1, but these were in stock at the shop and essentially the same kit other than the material used and warranty. Also about $200 cheaper
Going a little lower in the front soon.. At 1.5' all around currently.

One guy on here tried that, and posted that it worked great. He said he'd post a how-to shortly, but I don't think he ever did. Speculation was that something went wrong, but who knows?

During the day the chrome is brighter than the ambers. At night the ambers shine through the chrome. The tint on the reverse lights isn't an issue. I mean, I personally don't like it, but its no less safe. Don't hate.

Seriously, I'm not concerned about DAYTIME visibility. The car is plenty visible during the day. And I wasn't aware that you can see thru the chrome, but he's gonna put a tint over that. If you really believe that - with or without the tint - it's as visible thru the chrome as without, then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. And as for tint on the reverse lights not being an issue, I'll just say - "huh?" Look, I'm not saying it's likely to cause him a problem, I'm just pointing out that, while the risk is small, the potential cost is astronomical. If his insurance company denies coverage, it could cost him the value of the car, and any damages/injuries that resulted. The potential cost is so high, I wouldn't do it, but to each his own. But to argue that it doesn't adversely impact visibility of the car - well, that's just sticking your head in the sand.
