My current DD is "Crimson Red" (not BMW) and I hate the color. However, BMW's version is pretty damned nice in person. Pictures don't do it much justice.

Looks good to me, but stands out in a bad way though in my opinion with cops.

It is a gorgeous red in person. Seems to look great in any lighting, unlike some of the colors. I'm still not 100% decided on color -- thinking about Monaco as well -- but I think I'm going with CR when I put in my order in about a week....

I LOVE crimson. It was between crimson and SGM. I ultimately chose SGM as the "safer" choice for my 128i. If I went 135i I definitely would have gone crimson, because it has the attitude to back it up!
Whenever I see a sweet M3 in that bright red it always catches my eye and I wonder if I made a mistake. Clearly the crimson brings out the lines in the car, especially the lower front fascia, which tends to disappear with the darker colors. You won't go wrong if you choose it. |

I am having difficulty choosing between Montego and Crimson myself. I have never even considered a red car until I saw it on a 1 series, but now it certainly has my attention.

Change my color
I had originally ordered Alpine White, but made my final choice of Crimson Red. Too many AW are out there and having friends as cops, that pay no attention to car colors, just the speed that flashes in the radar guns. Insurance copanies can care less what color you choose.

My thoughts exactly. The way I like to speed I don't need the odds against me.

I'm about 90% positive I'm gunna end up choosing Crimson Red when I order my 1er. My last Bimmer was Bright Red and I really miss the color.
