It's in my glovebox. It snaps in and out of the receptacle.

Really glad you enjoyed it... it was such a great trip. I asked here on 1addicts for some twisties that weren't too far out of the way on my drive home, and 1addicts delivered.

PCD is always available, even if you do Euro Delivery first. It can delay your delivery if demand is really high, as they can only handle a handful each day, and the Performance Center does shut down to the public occasionally for BMW training (for the rest of this month, for example). There is no extra charge, your destination fee covers everything. You just have to get yourself to Greenville, SC. If you have the chance, it's a no-brainer.

Nice pictures. Its kind of wierd seeing pictures of my back yard. I live at the foot of the Cherohala Skyway in Tellico, Tn. I drive these roads and bicycle them all the time. Im glad you enjoyed them.

Did you just pull up to remove the cup holder. I tried but it felt to hard and was afraid to break it.

Is there a replacement that is just the plain compartment. I did this with my E46.

It's very snug, but yes.... just grab it at the base of the stem and pull straight up.

Just to make sure. We are talking about the cupholders section in the middle console correct.

To clarify: I'm referring to the cupholder that mounts to the passenger side of the center console, and not the one that sits under the front of the armrest. The "sore thumb" cupholder, as it were.

I was afraid you say that. In my E46 I was able to replace that center console cup holder with a european tray w/o cupholders.

I don't use the cupholders since I do not let anyone drink in my car. Including me.

I wonder if the center console for the 1 in europe fits the E82.
