I think Zaino works best on dark colour cars. It will give you very deep shine

the 17" is fine, I just hate rft. Any good recommendation for tire to fit the 17" rim? is it the PS2?

PS2 is a very good tire but it's the top of the line street tires from Michelin so the price is quite high. Actually for your size, there are just so many choices out there.

You may also consider Dunlop SP sport Maxx. it should be very similar to PS2 performance wise and cheaper....

Read in the threads that 162 is very heavy. Better to go for light aftermarket rims. Save some fuel as well.

option 1 : stock 17" rims + normal tires ( cheaper tires recommended )

option 2 : new 18" rims + 225x4 normal tires ( PS/2 recommended )

option 3 (Staggered) : new 18" rims F 7.5 R 8.5 + F225x2 R255x2 ( PS/2 recommended )

Option 1 you can enjoy normal tires and pay minimal , so dont go to expensive tires like PS/2 on just 17" as it is a little waste of money. I would guess this is a 'buy time' solution because 18" aftermarkets rims are very tempting and you will go for it just a matter of time.

Option 2, 3 if you go 18" aftermarket rims straight away better go for the best tires which are PS/2. The PS/2 are much quiet for HK rough roads even you go for sports suspension.

BTW, anyone goes for 19" can have my tires GFGoodwich

For cheaper 17" tires, there are alot of them well under HK$1000 per piece. Since 225/45/17 is a very common size, you would have a headache on which one to choose. It really depends on what you are expecting from the tires:

1. Performance (dry)
2. Performance (wet)
3. Treadwear
4. Noise
5. The price factor
6. Comfort

ray, if you can tell us more on your requirements, then we may be able to suggest you a few models

t, 18" is very tempting.....that's why I ask you the trade in price of the stock 17", ,y only concern are:
- My 150ps 320i is not powerful enough to use 18"
- I may need a drop if using 18"

Ray, as I have told you last time, my RFT behaves better now...after 15000km for 8 months....still bumpy but not as bad as before...

I know your milage is low/week, so it might takes a long long time. Replace 17" non-RFT is a quick solution. Agreed with t, don't pick the most expensive one.....as your might change to 18" soon

I tried Goodyear RS-02 and Yokohama ES-100 before on my E36, they are both ok and cheap ~800 each I guess now for 225/45/17. (Not sure if it is the old model)

Time for me to consider a change too....15000km la!!

Goodyear Revspec RS-02 is not bad, quite quiet and gives you decent grip and it's very cheap too. I am using it on my 7 seater. The size is 225/50/17 and it costs only 850 per piece!

It's difficult to compare my car (NXT) with sunny's (Zaino) because my car is Arctic and his is Black Sapp.

My impression on sunny's car is that it's still not shiny enough compared to the photos of some US members where they have 7 coats so I suggested him to put on more coats....

I hope it will last this time....

i AGREE u shuld start mod or never.

1. Rule no.1 , mod does not depend on engine size, it only depends on $$$ e.g. you can use 20" on your 320. I have seen on mags the Japanese do this. Actually your mod budget can be bigger than us because our 330i debts are bigger than yours

2. If you tire size only goes up 'one size' , there will be very little different if you move from 17 to 18 . e.g. if you now have 215x4 on 17", you can move to 225x4 on 18" which I dont see a big issue. You might like to avoid staggered. My Z3 2.2 has F 225x2 and R 245x2 and appears to be quite 'heavy' to launch. But remember the E90 6sp auto is awsome and that helps a lot.

3. Yes, 18" and the best drop should be done together. I think you can check out the SACHTS for E90 as it seems I am hearing a lot about it but no further info at this moment.
