All are welcome, though some we have to haze and put through a grueling initiation process. Typically you have to choose whether to get beat in or sexed in. At least that's how we do it in the mineral grey IS gang.

In that case I've paid my dues already. Check out what I went through when I "reviewed" the 428i in the general forum. The thread is named something like "135 owner reviews the 428i ".

you haven't driven it since December 16th!? wow. VERY COOL that you bought deep sea blue though...i love this colour. you must have very powerful strength and reserve! i drive mine 120+ miles a day! lol

IEDEI, I would love to be a passenger on your wild snow rides to/from work. I gotta say, in terms of pure adventure, fun and enjoyment, I think you have to be getting the most bang for your buck out of any 135is owner out there.

I've said all along, the official unveiling pics shall be coming on Monday. Had to drive it for a bit to get the matte gray coating off and then she'll be getting the spa treatment, cleaned up, and ready for her closeup on Sunday. All good things to those who wait. If only my fancy new detailing supplies would get here in time...but alas, stuck in the east coast snow and won't get here til Thursday now...dang it.

I liked the "industrial look" of the 335is and the scraped all to hell rotor/curbed look of its 313s. Makes it a great sleeper and less likely to be stolen. What can I say, I'm not a flashy guy so don't want to draw a lot of attention to it. It's like that old SNL bit:

I almost bought this car last year before it was listed on ebay. They wanted $29k and I thought it was a steal until I found it was previously wrecked and labeled a "total loss." I also googled the VIN and found one small resolution picture after it was wrecked and it looked pretty bad. The mileage discrepancy also added to my concern.

It was just too risky for me.

Oh gosh. I got to page 2 of that thread and couldn't continue. Made my head hurt. Obviously there's a reason all of us here love our 1ers so much. Its tough to go into a forum for a particular car and criticize it, as you're no doubt going to get many people with a different opinion. I think your "enthusiast" comment is really what opened up the can of worms.

On a totally different note - I've been in Hawaii for a week driving shitty rental cars (Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Versa hatch) and I cannot WAIT to get home and rip around in the 135is...I think it misses me...

Hahaha. That is a sentiment I can relate to and man, driving crappy rental cars sure makes you both want to go home ASAP and get back in your car and appreciate the feeling you get while in it. It can't compare to a versa though. Was the versa note unavailable? I'm getting you a chevy aveo for your birthday.

Next time you should at least upgrade to your stereotypical mustang gt convertible so you're still in a sports car, though I know everything is outrageously priced in hawaii. Hey, it could always be worse...you could have gotten a prius (sorry owen).

I could have gone with the mustang but I didn't want to be a stupid haole. The fiesta definitely had more get up and go, the versa is almost unfathomably slow. The only good thing is that it has more room in the back for beach/surf gear

Shame you couldn't get one of those "new" Mitsubishi Mirages! I think you'd really enjoy it.
