Good beginner mods?

Just about done paying on 2010 128i and figured I would start looking into doing some mods to the car, and have a little fun with it. Only thing is I'm new to this and not really sure where I should start off with? Any suggestions, I've searched around on here and seen some good suggestions for specific upgrades, but nothing really stating where one should start off with.

Where you should start off is purely subjective and how much you are willing to spend. Opinions and assholes - Everyone's got one.

What do you plan to do with the car?
Depending what your goals are, you could go for exhaust for better sound, upgrade the brakes/suspension, or maybe some nice wheels/tires of your choice.

manual? What are you planning on doing with the car? What do you wish to achieve. That will help us help you a lot more.

Answer the questions above and reference the mods in my signature. There are a lot of possibilities.

My top suggestions:

BMW performance exhaust (expensive)
M3 Front Sway Bar (fairly affordable)
AA Tune (expensive)

A tune without DISA is pretty minimal, struts or rear subframe bushings are vastly more important than a M3 FSB, and the performance exhaust is good for sound.

If you have a manual, CDV delete is great, costs almost nothing and is easy to do yourself.

Car is a manual. I'm not huge into racing, I do like to take it out and see what its capable of. I just want to mostly make sure that if I make one upgrade whether its the intake or exhaust, will I have to make any other changes at the same time, or can I upgrade parts over the course of a few months?

Garage List
CDV, clutch stop, ZHP knob, subframe inserts, ditching run flats, pulling crash pins (although you really should get alignment afterwards), various programming options (e.g. brighter LED), BMW performance aesthetic bits like kidney grills, cf spoiler, etc.

Yup. Only reason I said "almost nothing" is because some people seem to want to get that part that looks like the delay valve but with wider opening so everything still looks stock. I personally don't care about that, in which case it costs nothing.

Neither of those parts changes the performance of the vehicle, so yes, you can do them at your leisure without any further thought.

Golf-Tee mod is also an extremely easy one you can add to the list.

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan. Flap rattle at idle didn't help either.

So I'm a bit confused, after reading over several of the other posts on the Disa manifold, I've seen some say the 128 already has it, and others say it doesn't. Is it something the car comes with and therefore only needs to be tuned, or must it be purchased?

Eh, don't think such a statement can hold much value anymore with what I'm seeing from tunes.

Anyways, to the OP...I think you need a driver mod.
