Larryn - Is a camber kit necessary when doing this install? Or will a new alignment suffice? Or does it need alignment at all after the drop?

In my experience camber has never been a major cause of tire wear, its generally toe that causes the wear. Camber causes uneven wear but generally not a lot of extra wear if that makes sense.

Question Explain for the noob?

I'm new to the tuner world, and I'm trying to understand the difference in gains between getting H&R cup kits or springs.

My struts are still in tact. I have lots of track and autocross days on them though over the past 18 months. I wish our autocross classing allowed for me to swap out to coilovers (which would be the ideal setup), but this has worked fine for me, and is fine for the street as well.

BIG difference between AS and AR though. I'm gunning for BS or AS. This R Comp stuff is too much work to change tires while I'm trying to run the event too. It's fun as all hell tho!

+1 I would like to know the answer to this as well.

I am looking at getting the M3 Front Sway Bar + the M3 Front Control Arm Kit (wishbones, tension rods, headlight regulating rod) in the near future. What do you recommend to go with this setup?

H&R Springs looks awesome in your pics and they are by far the cheapest solution too. Do you think it's best to go with H&R Sport Springs $209, H&R Cup Kit $689, or for the KW Coilovers V1 or V2? I will be driving on the street 95% time and 5% of the time on the track. I'm a complete newbie to suspension and I highly doubt I will ever be adjusting my ride height, I wouldn't even know how.

Same here at the moment I think the M3 sway + full control arm + cup kit seems like the best set up in my opinion, but I'm a rookie as well!

What are the benefits of going with springs as well struts and not just springs? Sorry if it's an obvious answer I'm a rookie as well.

I believe the struts are stiffer on the cup kit than the OEM. So at the end the ride will be a bit more stiffer/sportier.

I decided to go this route due to I dont track my car but rather sprint drive arround town. I want something stiff enough to go fast but dont be too harsh when just crusing. Its a BMW not a Honda/Mitsu.

JMHO.

Can you please elaborate on your experience with the Cup Kit thus far? How has it transformed your car? Looks, feel, comfort etc. Do you have any pics?

Also, would you choose it over say the KW V1?
