I'll bet you would... lol

Fake vents or not, I think the bumper and the side skirts look really good together.

I very much prefer the stock bumper. The optional one looks, I dunno... like it was designed in the nineties??? As it does not match the edgy and sharp remainder of the body by being so smooth and bulbous (is that even a legitimate word?)
I actually think for a car designed some 13 years ago (?) this is one of the best looking stock front ends that requires hardly any improvement IMO.
I only wish front license plates were not mandatory here in British Columbia...

The front lip definitely adds to the look and if I got it, I would get it with the lip. A lot of places sell it with an optional lip. I like the stock 135i front bumper as well. Remember, I said "I really like the stock 135i front bumper and can't make up my mind if I like the Perf. bumper more, enough to make the purchase."

Agreed. I think the 135i stock bumper looks more aggressive, modern and "performance" oriented than the actual performance bumper. I do think the side skirts look pretty cool, though.

Again, looks are subjective. To each their own, different strokes, whatever floats your boat, etc. lol

I'd do the aero bumper if I had the (really expensive) BMW splitters that go with it. Hell, it's easy enough to swap the bumper on and off so as to make changing it doable to suit your mood.

Not a bad idea, but I'm pretty moody... better get a 1M replica front bumper as well, so then I can choose between the three of them. Stock, Performance, and 1M replica. Then I'd be all set.

I also cross-shopped with the G37, which gained better visibility over the Z, but with its added bulk, it became slower than the Z or the 1er, and was too "soft" feeling. Nice car though, the G37 was. Just not edgy enough for me. I did for a second consider the NISMO version.

I actually like the G35 better than the G37. One of the reasons is the exhaust sound. The G35 has one of the nicest sounding stock exhausts I've ever heard. Same with the 350Z over the 370Z.

OMG, and I thought I was crazy for doing the same thing.

Every morning when I leave her parked at work I look behind me a few times as I walk away, just to have one last glance... she looks so good at dawn when the sun is low and its gentle rays are caressing her body; accentuating all those subtle yet tantalizing curves and sharp but sexy creases.

See - I told you I was crazy...
Absolutely. This was an evening coming out of class. After teaching for undergrads for 4 hours, walk out to Florida sunset & the 135i.

Nothing about it is diluted or smoothed out just to appeal to majority... those are qualities so hard to find these days.
Agreed. I love the looks in addition to those qualities. For me perfect package. Regarding comments, I live in a populated place. Get a few verbal comments. My wife always says gees, everyone is breaking their necks looking at this thing. I just tell her it's her.

Everlasting

I never get tired of looking at or driving this beautiful model. Tinted windows is all that has been added. Sometimes I have given a thought of trading her in but then a little drive removes that silly thought.

I want to get some tint, 100 degree VA summers cause physical pain in this car...The only time I regret choosing Monaco Blue over Bluewater.

I'm taking her on a back road this afternoon, I'll get some recording going, horizontal this time

I picked up my 135 from the dealership for its last warranty fix (headlight mounting bracket repair kit) and the kid who pulled my car up for me was just gushing over it.
"Man, your car is gorgeous! It's so beautiful and it sounds amazing! What did you do for the exhaust?" Etc., etc...
He just loved it. I'd say he was maybe all of 20 years old, if that. Probably hasn't seen a lot of 1ers because they're almost all out of warranty.

(Btw, the sound he was talking about is the PPK plus BMW PE - that's all).

I love that the 1er doesn't look like the rest of the BMW corporate mold.

Beautiful, man!
Is that an aftermarket shift knob or was it stock? It's different from the one in my 2012 M sport.
