Yep, thats the Sierra Nevada Highway. I have no clue how many they can get on there, but if it's full of 1's then I know its a lot more than if it were full of 3's....

....I can see the sales pitch now. "Since they take up less space on the boat, people buying 1 series cars instead of 3 series cars are helping to curb global warming as more cars can fit on one boat, lowering the oil consumption of the average trip overseas by 0.24 gallons per car which translates to 37.4853 cubic feet of carbon dioxide gas...........save the whales."

Do you have your vin#? If so i can give you a website to check if your car is on one of the boats that left port already. Rumor has it the 800# has a few days latency between leaving port and awaiting a vessel for transport. Let me know. I'd be happy to help you out if I can.

The Sierra Nevada Highway is currently docked in Charleston SC. If I werent doing the PCD, I would suspect I would have gotten mine by the end of next week.

Any more news about our cars? By the way, how do they transport our cars? I was told in a nice semi with cushioned sides? Or do they just load em up on regular flat beds?

Mine is on a train to Toronto (from Halifax) as we speak... For some weird reason they still say it should be 1-2 weeks before I get it. Pretty annoying!

Mine is still on its way. It stopped off in Baltimore and is now headed towards Charleston...I'm hoping to get it next week when my parents are here (they just got their 335 back today after doing ED back in May).

Aftermarket catalog arrived today...
The accessories manager from the dealership sent me a catalog of aftermarket accessories that I can add on to my beloved Heinrich when he *finally* arrives. It came in today's mail and has a few extras that aren't listed on the BMW website.
I just want the car already, so I'm not sure I want to wait for anything to be added to it, lol! Although the clear protective film is tempting, along with the chrome gearshift knob and the moonroof wind deflector. I wonder how long it would take to add them on... And my ship has left Baltimore and should be in Charleston Thursday! |
