Reliable Carriers. Honestly, the only company I would ever ship with and I have shipped about 3-4 cars from MA to CA. I've tried other less expensive carriers and EVERY single one was HORRIBLE (delays, scratches, etc.). I would highly, highly recommend them.
http://www.reliablecarriers.com/ Also, I believe they ONLY ship in enclosed trailers which is huge when shipping that far. |

It depends on how much you want to pay.
Do you want an enclosed or open truck I've shipped over 60 cars and each time I've used someone else Trucking companies go on a rating system When you call a company or broker they fleece you and the trucker makes the least $$$$ and don't necessarily transport your car So be careful out there A lot of people will promise you everything, take your money (over the phone), and have no stake in it. All the best in finding the right one that suits your needs |

Like everyone else has said do thorough research and read reviews before choosing. I have had three cars transported across the country (including my 1M). Some companies have their own trucks and drivers while some are brokers and merely act as middle men and contract with drivers.
Plenty of reviews here: http://www.transportreviews.com/ Last edited by yemski; 06-23-2012 at 01:44 PM.. |

Another vote for intercity. Located in MA, they are amazing.

Use Intercity Lines. Its expensive but worth it. They won't have availability for at least two weeks before your pickup date though so schedule ahead.
I just shipped my car from NY to Cali two weeks ago. I used Montway Auto Transport for the above mentioned problem. They contracted the deal out to VIP Transport based in NC. My service was impeccable and I got an enclosed trailer for only $1400 shipped across the country. |
