N55 mids: Drone would show up from 2500 to 3800 mostly while cruising on the highway, but also when cruising public roads. Sometimes it was through that whole range, sometimes only a part of it. Either way it would resonate the whole interior.

MadDad mids: Drone is much more minimal. 2600 to 3200. Almost only highway cruising. Hardly ever on public roads. Still resonates inside the cabin tho.

I took my Mode Carbon off as the exhaust was literally resting against it and would cause a very minor vibration at idle. It was more a personal irritation than anything else. The Slēk diffuser fits the shape of the Meisterschaft better IMO.

Picked up a set of the Enkei PF01 EVOs in 18x9.5+22 and 10.5+22. These are BMW specific and come hub centric although I had to do a little bit of sanding on 1 out of the 4 wheels and 2 out of the 4 hubs on the car for everyone to sit together nicely. Worth it.

Then got Advan Neova wrapped around them

Caliper clearance is close, but still more than enough wiggle room. Honestly I may end up putting on some spacers and go a step wider on the tires later down the road, but more concerned with finally stepping into some Ohlins coils first

Stepping into Ohlins? Very nice. Curious how you felt about the sport springs, as you are now making a change. Reason I ask is I am thinking about lowering my car, and it probably wont see much more track time with the addition of an e36. Debating between springs or maybe KW v3.

The springs feel great. I have three reasons for changing over to Ohlins coilovers. 1. Always wanted to run a set of Ohlins (WRC fanboy). 2. I want the extra adjustments that coilovers offer. 3. Want to level out the car a bit more. Less of that european rake.

I have been considering selling the front lip. Noticed I had mounted it a bit off to one side, removed it, and haven't ever "found the time" to re-mount it. The rear diffuser is staying........for now atleast. If you are serious about the front lip send me a PM.

Need to make a FS thread for the Slëk front lip, the MODE rear diffuser, and the GT Haus/Meisterschaft exhaust.

Ohlins arrived. Attention to detail is amazing, even the packaging was thoroughly thought out. This is my first of many future sets of Ohlins.

GroundControl camber plates. Why not at this point.

At the lowest 'correct' settings the Ohlins sit maybe 1/4 inch lower than the H&R sport springs front and rear. Ohlins 'suggested' settings would sit 5mm lower than factory in the rear and about 50mm lower than factory in the front. Alignment will be coming up very soon and then I can put a few miles on these coils to see where they settle.

Installed pics soon.

Is there a reason you chose GC over Vorshlag? Any bearing noise from the GC plates? I had GC plates on my E30 at one point and the bearings were constantly clunking around.

Vorshlag plates were back-ordered when I was shopping ~7 months ago. They were also back-ordered when I was shopping for plates for my e36 2 months ago. From what I understand Vorshlag is taking a lot more (if not all) of their manufacturing in-house and that has caused some considerable delay. I am glad I did not wait for the Vorshlag plates for the 1M as I would likely still be waiting. I would have loved to go with the Vorshlag plates but did not want to wait for who knows how many months. GC plates have worked just fine and customer service has been very good.

Regarding noise: there is some bearing noise but it is only noticeable when I have the windows down and even then only on sharp impacts.

Exactly the reason craina posted. I had ordered a set of the Vorschlags, but it was just after they went into back-order status. That was about a year ago I think. That is the only reason I went with the GC plates instead.

Trying to find time to get the 1M re-aligned so it can get driven again.

Mine rattle occasionally, it doesn't really bother me much. I'm not sure there is any way to eliminate the rattle unless you want to grease the bearing weekly or go back to the stock shock mount.

Finally snagged an Akrapovic rear slip on. Couldn't find one with titanium tips and couldn't pass on this one. Installing a CobbAP with it as well. Now I am reading up on downpipe options. Pics soon

I think all of this is terrific if you keep the car forever. The 1M is a highly desirable car in stock form, and has (so far) retained basically its entire value. Just realize that the resale for this vehicle, so modified, is going to require someone who buys into all these mods, otherwise, not only will the cost of the mods not be realized on resale, it may be hard to resell it, at all.

Hope you enjoy it!

I feel sure OP is aware of resale. All of the OP's mods are reversible. A few hours of labor and the car is back to stock. Clearly the OP enjoys modding, and is using quality parts.

As long as the potential loss is of no concern, have at it.

I would probably have chosen another vehicle to mod, either a 135i or even better an M3, since they don't retain value in stock form, like the 1m has.
