Was the video cut with camera tricks and the video equivalent of "photoshop"? The "making of" videos didn't show the M4 so close to the other cars at all.

It was definitely an awesome event. For the high risk shots, they replaced customer cars with BMW NA cars. Originally the two 1M's were placed together but then moved after a few tries.

Some of us got the chance to ride in the E92 and the E46 DTM cars around the lot. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! It was like go carts on steroids. When they told us about the placement, I offered to place my car in a high risk zone to trade for the DTM cars if something happened. Obviously, my request was rejected.

There were two Austin Yellow M4's there. One with GoPro's slapped inside and out and another without any. All the drifts were done with both cars in order to get the inside and outside and close shots of all the action. Additional GoPro's were placed on customer cars to capture some of the angles as well.

So that final tight drift around the bottom right part of the M was "real"? The one with the 1 orange 2 white 1 red? (Actually they look like M4s, so I suppose those would have been the "high risk" replacements.)

where he does the two loops around the bottom of the M and reverse parks it into place. He really is that good!

Yeah those were high risk areas. They originally had the 2 1M's together, the VO behind the black.

it's funny how the OFFICIAL BMW Press release only mentions ONE 1M there.

It was filmed at Ripken Stadium Parking lot in Aberdeen Maryland.
