Track setup, with R compounds the grip is just too much, no matter how aggressive I can't get it to slide.

What brand/size of tires are you using?

Toyo R888 225/45/15. They are almost done so i'm going to mount a set of 225/45/15 BF Goodrich G-Force Rival we have leftover from the chumpcar.

I usually run 16" BBS RS but there aren't many good sizes available anymore.

We need to get together before the summer is over!

I own both cars. My 1M will be with me for life but I love my e30 M3 as well. There is NO point comparing the performance of the two cars. The 1M will eat the M3 for lunch and poop it out the tail pipes. That's not the point at all. The M3 is a piece of BMW history and will always be. If you have a good original low mileage e30 M3 it's not meant to be a daily driver anymore. The car it BMW equivalent of the Porsche 356.

O and by the way the Me is a blast to drive. It makes no excuses for be old and doesn't have to.

Both the 1M and the e30 M3 are collectors cars, one is a classic the other is destined to become one.
