I ran 245/35's in front, but I had a bit of extra camber to clear them, but they fit fine. I now have camber plates, so I should have plenty of clearance now. I'm going to be trying the 255/35's in front soon. I already have 255/35's in the rear, and they work fine there.

I assume with my Breytons to fit 265 Dunlops on the rear I would need a 10mm spacer since the wheels at 48mm offsets? I have no fender rolling and I have no idea who to trust to do it near me.

If you add a 10mm spacer to a 48mm offset wheel, it then becomes a 38mm offset wheel, so that will make things much worse. My rear wheels are 62mm offset, although I am running 275's.

If you want the least amount of trouble and body work, go with the 245's. 255's are pushing it in my opinion.

For what it's worth, I have Apex EC-7's (18x8.5 et45 and 18x9.5 et 58) with 235/40 and 265/35 Conti Extreme Contact DW. Without camber plates, spacers or fender mods, based on my research that's as good as it gets. I lowered the car about an inch or so, any lower and it will rub. Apex told me that to safely run 245 fronts I would need to have pretty negative camber, more than you would want for a DD.

Running 245/40/17 on 17x8.5 ET40 ARC8s. On Hankook RS3s (previously Dunlop Z2s)
Lowered probably 1.5", rolled front and rear with A LOT of camber. You won't fit 245s unless you get camber or keep stock ride height. The fitment is terrible unless you meet certain criteria |
