Dealerships to receive 4 demo cars next week
I've heard from a dealership that each dealer will get 3-4 demo e90's sometime mid next week. These will be used for display and test drives. Still haven't heard anyone say that their dealer will let them take delivery before May 6, so looks like BMW is sticking to its guns on the official release date.
I'm sure there's gonna be a ton of people wanting to test drive these things so make sure to call your dealer soon to schedule a test drive! Cant' wait for mine! |

I've been talking to Weatherford BMW in Berkeley for about a month now and they are telling me that they will have some cars in that I can test drive next week on Wednesday or Thursday. I havent heard or asked how many or which kinds. I just hope they will have a 330i with SG.
Unfortunately I doubt they'll have one with a light gray interior. It seems to not be a popular option but I think I would prefer it most. I just want to see it in person to decide. |

Patrick BMW in Schaumburg, IL (just out of Chicago) has three on the lot right now, but they can't demo any just yet (go figure). I'm going Thursday and will take pics.

Field's BMW Northfield, IL has a 330 and 325 in front. One silver, one black. I sat in the 330 and overall liked it more than I thought I would. No i-drive in either. The interior seems to be decent quality, same mix of wood/plastic as E46. Buttons and knobs feel solid. Cup holders pop out (even out of the front of the rear seat armrest) and feel solid. Had to put the passenger seat all the way back to get comfy, then I went in the back seat. Had to maneuver in, knees almost touching the front seat back (6 ft tall). Doesn't seem all that much bigger to me. Front end looks good, BMW character with the grill/roundel. Makes me look forward to the coupe/cabrio.
