Castrol Edge Vs Edge HM?

My N54 has 138k miles on it. Compression across the entire block is great. Car purrs like a kitten when the injectors aren't giving me an issue (new ones going in this weekend)

So, is there any benefit going from Castrol Edge 5w30 to the Castrol Edge 5w30 High Mileage?

I do plan to start waling down the tuning path and bolts on's after getting the last few quirks taken care of. It is also a daily driver.

Thanks.

Don't think the HM is LL-01 approved?

Why not go with the better Edge 0W40?

Would the 0w40 be the most appropriate for this application? Georgia weather BTW.

It is what I use year round in both my cars. Ottawa, Canada weather (-30 C to +40 C), ice racing to summer track use to daily driver. And it is probably the best oil Castrol makes.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about Alaska weather and turbo applications anymore.

Georgia gives me less of an issue to worry about cold weather weights ever again.

Looks like my local WalMart has the Edge 0w40 for the same price as all of the other options.

I figure after I get the new injectors on this weekend I'll do an oil change and sea foam blow out before I start to play with it.

Yeh stick with the LL01 oils; that 0W40 has been proven multiple times over. No reason to reinvent the wheel on this one.

Because the EU badged bottles are the only oils that are ll-01 approved and its usually found in 0-40 on the shelf.
