Hi all

Anyone in Melbourne can do sat/nav year 2014 or 2015 version software update?

BMW Stealership wants $235, I was laughing at the service guy.

Yep, can get it organised for approx 45euro (65 ish AUD). Pretty easy to do yourself if you want. Ill send you a PM.

Group buy? Map updates for CIC 14/15 are readily available, what u need is the FSC code specific for your car to be able to update it.

i PM'ed you last time this came up Zuzu with the details. Did it not work or you werent willing to try? Happy to send ti ya again if u want it, perhaps you werent happy with the methodology or who was doing it last time? PM me if you want.

Maybe someone who does it other than me might add that it worked ok? I know BMW86 used it a while ago to fix POI's etc on an older version of maps, it worked for him im aware.

Just got an update, for AU/NZ 2015 maps, it is 69euro now, still cheaper compare to BMW Stealerships

He has jacked his price (note the 69, hes just trying it on), just say others on the forum got it cheaper, he will likely go lower. I got it for 45 euro last time, but it was for 2 cars (90 euro total for 2). If you get it for 50 take it!

Just didn't go ahead at the time, for what ever reason not sure, does it matter??

Alright gents, my AUS/NZ 2015 software update works like a gem now, special thanks to Superdaws for recommending this Sieras guy.

All you need to do is email the guy, tell him what version map you want and paypal him the fee (58 euros I paid, converted to just under 90 AUD).

He will give you proper instructions to guide you through the update process.

This is very very dirt cheap compared to what stealership charges, I have saved quite a lot of money.

Total time required for me to update is just a shy 15-20 mins of my own time.

My sat/nav version reads AUS/NZ 2015, best Chinese New Year present for me this year .

That's the ccc version not cic.

Because the ccc is the final version and bmw is not updating it anymore.
