True Cold Air Intake (Mr 5 Intake)
I've been working on Craig's (Mr 5) intake system cause I hate sucking in hot air. I've had my stock airbox on since the start of summer. I think the Mr 5 Intake is by far the best intake for these car's. This intake has been thoroughly tested and seems to work really well. I'll be replacing the 3" tubing with some nice black 3" silicon hoses all the way from the airbox to the filter. The air in the wheel well is nice and cool and it gets force fed through the bumper vent. Still not sure if it will fit with my Turbosmart bov's in the way. I'm sure one of you will snap it up if I sell it. More pics to come soon. Sorry about the crappy pics.

Nice Edwin. I've always wanted to do this. Do you have to remove the bumper to get this in? Also, what filter do you plan on using? One of your BMS DCI's?

Thanks Joe. The grinder is to get rid of the extra plastic grid shapes on the side of the airbox for the pod filter adapter. Quote:
Got home last night and put my hand in the vent of the bumper where the filter will sit and it had no heat from the engine bay whatsoever. It's a nice cool location for the filter if not the best. |

Couldn't beleive my luck when I saw it for sale. Took quick for you Ray. I've been wanting to do this for a while like Vinney but are definitely not ready to hack my airbox and I'm sick of the look of the DCI's.

Good idea with the airbox. Perth is extremely hot compared to Sydney. If anyone needs this mod it's you. |

Sounds good JB.
Does this get it's air from the wheel well or the bumper vent? The only downside I can think of if from the wheel well is that it may pick up a lot more dust & dirt than the OEM position. Subscribed.

This will get forced air from the bumper vent. I'll still have the wheel well splash cover to protect it from the brake dust. It's actually quite clean in that section of the bumper. As you can see in my image I got the K & N filter that has the closed rubber head so under heavy rain it doesn't suck up moisture/water. |

My only issue maybe my bovs and all the meth lines running to my nozzles which I can relocate. You may crack an 11.7 with this mod Michael.

Ok, sounds good. I will have the same BOV setup so as long as it clears those the meth lines are easy
