Are the 3 series welcome too?

If yes, would suggest posting in the 3 series and the M3 page, I am sure it will generate more interest.

I'll already be in Healesville as I'm treating the girlfriend to a weekend away. Hoping to sort her out with a spa treatment or something on Sunday morning so I can join you lot.

What's your planned route from Glen Waverley? What time do you reckon you'll be coming through Healesville?

We're planning to approach Reefton from Warburton, so we won't reach Healesville until after Reefton and Marysville, as we are coming from the other side.

Hope weather is good on the 30th... We've got 9 confirmed =)

No dramas. I can meet up with you lot in Warburton and join the cruise from there. I'm guessing you'll pass through at around 11am if you're taking this route?

I'll leave from Narbethong at around 10:25am and can wait in the carpark here until you pass through, and then we can head onto Reefton Spur.

The weather should be fine, if this is anything to go by.

Any yes, I'll have 3 cameras on board - 5D, 7D and FlipHD. The Flip will capture video from a mount on/in my car (or one of yours when I'd like to capture myself!), 5D mounted inside the car (also video) and the 7D I'll use for stills.

Glad the Golf R can make it, but ummm 3 cameras ... arrr what's going on?
If we really need documentation/evidence, Victoria Police should have this covered.

I'll bring my GO PRO HD along for some vids... hopefully not for police evidence.

Happy to provide the vids to someone who knows how to edit etc... I'm yet to work that part out.

I like to take video and then put a soundtrack to it - no evidence of anything dude, we're simply going for a Sunday drive...

Hi Guys,

I just thought I would lend a piece of advice for those attending this run through the spur.. DO NOT SPEED! even through the tight twisties.

I have heard lately that police officers are dressing in camouflage, setting themeslves in the bushes through the twisties with a seat and a camera, and detecting unsuspecting motorists. Then they radio ahead to a colleage who is stationed further up the road, your license a vehicle details. In turn this colleage has your details and is ready to pull you over for speeding through the twisties.

I am sure some of you may already know this, however I just thought id bring it up for those who may not know.

I may not be able to make it myself, however have a great drive to those who do make it.

Thanks for the heads up! Is this through black spur in particular? I don't think there is much room for them to camp in reefton spur?

You make some very good points...

Maybe in future we should just call for interest in a drive and agree on a starting location but not actually reveal the destination and route until we get to the starting location - that way we won't be giving any potential speed cameras a heads up.

Guys, the purpose of the drive day is not to break road rules and treat public roads like a race track. It's an opportunity to enjoy our cars on some nice mountain roads and get a bit of country air.

The speed limits on the roads we'll be taking are high enough to have a bit of fun without getting into trouble and risking lives.

Guys my intensions were not to try and put a downer on this drive day, it was to simply just remind/inform people that there has been a pretty heavy crack down lately around those areas. I know the intention is to have a happy safe drive, howver I am sure we all know deep down that things can get a bit too spirited at times.

And yes, what concerns me the most is that I have heard that even the tightest of sections.. (wont mention) arent completly safe from detection any more.
