Picked up my Alpine White 330i. First Impressions & Pictures.
Ok, I was so excited when I got it, and wanted to share this
with fellow E90POST members first, but due to the site upgrading, I couldn't. I was actually pretty mad I couldn't share with you guys. but no biggie, now I get to add FIRST IMPRESSIONS!! since I drove it for 2 days. Dealership: Salesman gave me free genuine BMW shampoo and tech wax, BMW wheel cleaner and leather cloth for cleaning. All that worth quite a few $$ in my opinion. I didn't check the prices. DRL and auto locking system is currently disabled, salesman told me if I ever want to activate them, just come in and let them know, they'll do it right away. Exterior: Beautiful as it should. Alpine white was MUCH better in person than I ever imagined. I love this color. Design is SHARP, and overall, car seems flawless. Smooth finishes, not a single miss match of the parts. Interior: I like it more than when I test drove it. Interior fit&finish is amazing, all of high quality stuff. After I got used to the controls, I actually love the way how all the functions are. Before I thought it was a bit complicated and hard to use. After finishing up 7 manual books that dealer gave me within an hour (I don't think I ever read a book and studied that hard in my life), Interior functions all of sudden looked very functional, easy to use and "precise"(i know its a weird term). Oh, did I mention interior quality is superb? Driving: Engine has plenty of low end torque, and Steptronic transmission was actually MUCH more responsive than I imagined. It handles just as BMW should so I won't even describe that part. Lets just say "it handles". Though, the car felt somewhat more heavier than I expected, I knew it was 3450pds, but car felt more like 4000pds. Not that Im saying car is underpowered, its got enough power to haul ass. Sport package seats were comfortable, and supporting me very well. Sport package steering wheel is just about PERFECT size in my opinion. Friends: Oh boy they liked it. First, the attitude was "eh, its a 3 series. its not even a M3!", but that statement changed over to "ok, I take that back" after I let them test drive it. PROBLEM: yes. already few problems. radio transmitter signal on the remote key fob must be slightly confused. Whenever I unlock/lock, trunk opens also. Very annoying. Passenger's side seat belt won't work, its stuck. (does anyone know if this a problem or something that I can quickly fix?) Also, it seems like passenger's side airbag light is having issues. Even when passenger is in the vehicle, the "passenger side airbag off" light is on sometimes. So what?: I still love this baby and I am not about to give up because of those few stupid problems. Not even close. I guess its still a little baby. She wants my attention! how cute. Below this message was created 10.14.05. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So, finally. After a long painful wait. Its here. Picked her up 10.14.05(today) at around 2pm. Jesus I love this car. Here is a quick photoshoot I had with my girl's mini. (Quality of them SUCKS, because I accidently put the camera in low resolution mode. DAMN IT.) When I picked her up at the dealer. Parked by a 7 series! Mine is on the left. Other E90s I saw. Sorry for such long post. I am just happy and excited. One downside is, I don't think I can ever get any other car. I just spoiled my automotive experience.

Congratulations Your car rocks... I've seen very few Alpine White E90's on the road, but whenever I see one, I drool, especially with the 162 wheels :rocks:
Those pictures are great .... enjoy and take care of her. Don't worry too much about the little malfunctions.... they are minor in comparison to the whole E90 experience.

Awesome, brings back memories of when I picked up my car. Not a feeling in the world like bringing home a brand new bimmer! Congrats on getting your car, and in one of my favorite colors too. I love AW on the e90. Your gf's mini looks almost yellow next to the pure white of AW
Enjoy and you'll only grow to love it more. |

Your car looks great. I really like the Alpine White on the newer BMW's. My wife may even get an Alpine White E60 sometime soon

just wait until you settle in with the car, get to know it better and after the engine has run in, take it up the mountains and on curvy cross Country roads where the car really shines.
congrats, i know how excited you are feeling and the feeling lasts too. i still have it. drive safely.

Alpine White looks so sharp!
It's also great because you don't need to wash it often as black cars which was a plus for me! Nice car man..Enjoy!

Wow you got plates already? We don't get plates in CA for 2-3 months.

Thank you everyone!!!
I am very happy with the vehicle. Can't wait until break-in is over though. Nothing feels better than people looking at you like "wow...." everywhere you go.

Congratulations. Gorgeous car.
When your "Passenger Side Airbag" light goes off, does your passenger sit in the seat correctly? You did mention the passenger seat belt is stuck. Maybe this is what's causing the "Passenger Side Airbag" light to go off. A safety feature to turn off the side airbag. |

thank you all for kind words.
and yes, the girl in blue jacket by the pole is my girlfriend. Yes, I was also surprised when they had my plates. While me and my salesman were going over the car, one guy came and gave us the plates. I was like "whoa? already?" Previous cars I bought from honda/nissan dealership always took 3~4 weeks. Maybe when you order a vehicle, they prepare the DMV registration process mean while?
