Actually it IS illegal over there, but the German Polizei dont mess with petty stuff like this unless it is really overboard and obvious. Trust me I know (live there 11 of the last 15years). What they do is, before going to TUV(inspection) they will usually have a set of stock wheels/tires that they switch out...get inspected and then switch back (I did it on my 5er because the 19's I had were not list on the Fahrzeugbrief)

Oh, I thought you could get anything legal as long as you had the right 'Gutachten' and it's inspected to be safe or something. At least the cops don't mess with it over there. Over here, they just pull you over, take you to the technical control center and you get fined. Depends on where you live too, but had an Audi before and the cops in my neighbourhood would pull me over until I took the wheels off!

The gutachten is for the size of the wheels to be added to your fahrzeug brief; as in height and width WITHIN the wheel wells....once you roll the fenders it means you can have a bigger wheel and then that has to go on your fahrzeugbrief BUT it still cannot protrude from the wheel wells.

Sorry Boogie, but I think it looks like a bad stereotype (chrome wheels). The only thing it's missing is spinners.

It's not chrome though... The centers are just high gloss silver, and the rim is polished aluminium. There is a big difference! Might not be as obvious in the pic but polished aluminium looks way better in real life! Not as shiny n stuff...

personally, I don't like chrome either so I agree if you want to say chrome s**ks!

This is Silverbullet's car and I think it's the best 19" wheel set yet.

I'm considering going 19" only because the wheels I want are only made in 19". Knowing very little about wheels, would 9.5x19 in the rear and 8.5x19 in the front fit? :iono:
