Zaino as above, and I clean them 3-4 times a week with Simoniz Wheel cleaner/spray on hose off. The trick is not to let it collect. Pay me now or pay me later.

Just because you don't notice it - doesn't mean it isn't there. I think they should be cleaned regularly anyway, even on a dark wheel.

Michelin does/used to do a spray that really did prevent brake dust. Here is a review: http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...ne-w-pics.html

Brake Dust

I had read posts that the 135 had a bit of brake dust but I had no idea what that really meant. It is impossible to keep the wheels clean on this thing. Even a 15 mile drive will cover the wheels.

I would rather have built in wheel washers than headlight washers. LOL

I have to agree with you on that one. I find I'm washing the wheels twice as often as the car itself.

This is a known BMW quip, but something that us owners have to accept for now. We are currently awaiting word for an Axxis Deluxe Plus application for the 1 series.

While the brakes make much dust, there is a grateful(?) Boxer(dog) still alive today thanks to this car's absolutely amazing brakes. "Delinquent Boxer, you owe the brake engineers at BMW", I yelled at the beast, he/she/it returned an obligatory stupid grin. Lucky creature...
