Hi All. First time poster long time reader. Just though I would jump into this one as my 135 was going through all of these symptoms so BMW replaced all 6 injectors. Since then (about a month ago) they had the car for over a week trying to find a new problem that has started up with a hiccup in the idle, oh and it still has the injector rattle. So did replacing the injectors work for everyone else?

No not that much only $107.73 from getbmwparts.com, maybe from our dealers they would cost $300 or more.

BMW part #13537585261 $309 each (!) #8 in the above parts diagram.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...82&hg=13&fg=15

When you go into www.ReamOEM.com look up an e82 or e88 135i, then Europe or USA specs, then LHD or RHD and build date.

Then--> Fuel Prep System-->Fuel Injection System-->High Pressure Rail

Thanks Dackel - you the man!

$309 is steep though! Do you know if that's all we would need if we ever needed to replace them?

I need to find out more about these if they're only $107!

Read this SIB on the injector bullletin. I think when ever you remove an injector you ALWAYS need to replace the seating o-ring at the base (tip) of the fuel injector.

So... who sells these injectors for only $107 ??? (ohh I see now... Tischer).

Yes, I believe so.

Btw... I have been following this thread on the e90 furom for quite a while now. Some of it pertains to how BMW is de-tuning our N54's to cover up mechanical issues. It is interesting how BMW is using new SW to cover up mechanical deficencies and giving us added "turbo lag":

Has anyone contacted BMW regarding 29.2 and lag?

Injector campaign is for injector issues, HPFP's get replaced as they fail, but some Vin's are brought up as software require updating as a HPFP 'fix'.

BMW86- This is not a warranty issue, it is a campaign, so even if you have no warranty then they still get replaced if they fail the campaign test. Unless you mean if they fail again in the future after the campaign. Yeah, i wonder how that would be treated. So, my car got 4 injectors and software upgrade, now if say the injectors failed again then would i have to pay or would they go through again? Interesting....mmm....I'll ask. I've had 2 HPFP's as well,,,,,so far.

I think if the injectors fail again down the track after they have been replaced with the new ones under the camp I don't think they'll cover it.

Why not? New parts still have a "parts warranty". Even parts replaced under a recall or service action... have a warranty on those parts.

Say your car is out of warranty but has a recall done. And one of those recall parts later fails. That failed part HAS a warranty for parts (and labor sometimes!) for up to one or two years depending on your country (for what BMW warranty is in that country).

BMW Australia have a parts and labour warranty of 24 months, so yes it would be replaced if fails within those 24 months.
