Buying a BMW 135i tomorrow. Anything missing?

LeMans Blue w/ Black Boston Leather Interior @ 42k miles

(no carfax on the website but I saw it in their offices)

TLDR:

Talked them down to $24,999 and they'll repaint the passenger door handle that has a huge paint chip in it and also replace the m sport door sills. Has a accident history of a moderate on the front left side but was able to drive away. the front bumper isn't aligned though so needs to be realigned. Everything was serviced at BMW dealership for the duration of the 3 year lease.

has following options: Car has M sport, Premium, Navigation, Cold weather, Xenon headlights, Harmon Kardon, and other stuff but no comfort access or value package.

Long(er) version: (i'll add more soon)

The Carfax shows a moderate accident to the front left. The engine compartment looks fine but the bumper isn't aligned right. I'm bringing it in for a Pre-purchase inspection tomorrow before financing it. I'll probably do a Rieger bumper swap afterwards so the alignment isn't a problem. Just worried about there's suspension problem/intercooler problem from the accident.

Wear and Tear's normal, the front driver's side seat is worn but passenger and back seats is pretty much new. everything works on the car, still within warranty with 9 months left of service/parts warranty. The car also has Glossy black Kidney Grills in the front with the bmw chrome exhaust tips in the back. everything else seems like it's stock.

The Wheels are not damaged much. there's small scratches but no chips or anything. The car has Toyo RFT tires up front and Bridgestone RFT in the back with around 5/32 in the back and 4/32 in the front. I'm not too worried about it since I'll probably replace it by the end of summer with some Michelin PS A/S 3s and maybe get new wheels and do a square set up. The car has a pretty no dents but has a giant chip (about half the size of a pinky nail) on the passenger side door handle that they said they'll repaint. The engine compartment shows small signs of shallow small dots of rust (from texas so it's probably near somewhere near the gulf where it was driven) There doesn't appear to be any rust on the bottom though.

The car itself drives great, the suspension feels fine. not much else to say about how it drives.

Just so you know, as I'm sure a non-bmw dealer wouldn't know this, but the car also has the BMW Performance Exhaust installed on there.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but does it have different tires on some of the wheels?

Ya. I was gonna add that.

Had to do something and didn't get the chance to add that in.

It also has the glossy black Kidney grills in the front too. The badges has black stickers over the blue areas which I'll remove when I get it.

Don't let them know you know that.

Check the front passenger tire, it doesn't look the same as the others. Obviously, the main concern for you and most people will be that it was in an accident, which might be a dealbreaker for some, but I assume the price is much lower due to that. Personal taste of course, but just keep that in mind though if you decide to get it as it may affect you down the road if and when you go to sell it since it's on the carfax.

Not planning on selling FOREVER. Gonna drive it into the ground lol.

But ya. I'm just worried about the intercooler and the suspension since that's the most likely parts to be damaged from the accident. (which was less than 6000 miles from the current mileage.) That's why I'm taking it in for a PPI tomorrow :/ just want to make sure that it's not badly damaged... that there's a unexpected expense... But I do plan on eventually replacing both the intercooler and the suspension in the future if it does fail.

Edit: Mainly worried about engine damage and the frame damage (which I assume there isn't that much since it's not a totaled title)

It's missing a manual transmission.

The DCT is awesome, if you are even a remote fan of Audi's DSG, Porsche PDK, etc., you will love it! I've always preffered stick... but the DCT almost makes me a convert. Well... "almost", ha ha.

I like the DCT in it a lot better than the steptronic in my old 01 Audi lol. (it was complete shit lol. it took like .5 seconds to switch the gears and it also took like 1 second to even respond to the shift... But the automatic mode was good though.)

The only problem I have with the car is the gas throttle response. When I press down the pedal, there's definitely something like a quarter second delay or something before the car responds. This only happens at lower speeds regardless if it's in automatic or manual mode..

mine is at the dealer and i'm hoping they reflash the ecu to alleviate it.

pushing the sport button helps but that dead spot is annoying.

If it's been crashed don't buy it rather pay an extra 100k and get a better deal.

I'm pretty sure spending an extra 100k gets you a worse deal

Guy is from south Africa, so his 100k Rand =/ 100K USD. These cars have a high price tag in some countries.

I still wouldn't pay $9,641 USD extra for a better deal. In fact I think the math works out regardless of currency, paying for more won't get you a better deal. It might get you a better car however.

Fair enough, I agree with that. I can think of so many things I would upgrade with that amount!
