Hehe's it's an Akrapovic. It cost the GDP of a small country or your first born!

Unreal exhaust, enjoy

It is difficult not to be excited ...

Would it be possible to share details re:
(a) drone (eg 110kmh at 2200rpm), and
(b) costs involved?

Thanks.
Ah hahaha Timbo, now how do you mount those flashing lights again......

According to Mrs Alpine who drove 7 hours up the Hume solo, Melbourne to Canberra, yesterday, there was none.

Re pricing, give Andrew a yell, we bought a few things at the same time so am not sure what the exhaust cost were separately.

Okay thanks bro. Am still envious!
To be honest and after five months, I'm still yet to play with M mode or disengage traction.

IF I had been able to get the keys ONCE since Andrew waved his wand I might have been able to answer that beemer

I have only been in the car (passenger) for 20 mins, when we picked it up in Melbourne, in the teaming rain in traffic so can add absolutely F'all re the tune, even the exhaust really.

It is her daily driver I spose (just cracked 10,000ks too), me I'm POLO boy hahahaha

Sorry, will get it sooner rather than later though

Ok, Ok.

Exhaust:
Cold Startup - As we all know the 1M, and for that matter all BMs as far as I know, perform an initial higher idle for about 30 secs or so, for this period the sound is quite racaus and loud, whether in the garage or in the underground work carpark .
Casual take off - Whilst engine is still getting up to operating temp. I drove it conservatively and found it to be only slightly more audible than the standard system.
WOT - Hang on to your hats ladies and gentlemen, you are driving a friggin WRC car, probably an Evo 8 !!!!! My god she just bangs and farts like I have never heard before, ABSOLUTE CAR FIEND HEAVEN!!!!!!!!
Back through the gears - If you like a little crack and fart with your breakfast, then this is THE ideal companion to start your day with, no question.
On the Freeway - At 110km/h I found there to be no droning, just a little tyre and wind noise, very pleasant. Squeeze it at 100 in 6th and the noise builds, quickly (untill you check the speedo and remove your foot from the throttle and gently apply the bake pedal as speed is waaaaay too high at that point.

In summary, very livable round town, very fun when you want it to be and also somewhat (OK alot) addictive.

Performance:
Having been in the M3 yesterday I had very fresh memories in my mind of the performance of the little N54, the way it excelerates and builds up speed. Today the 1M, what can you say.... this car is now a bloody beast.

What, with the addition of the ESS AND Akrapovic system and the base 250Kw and 450Nm of course, now pushing through the back wheels it was always going to end in an orange skid symbol on the dash, frequently hahahahaha I found that driving round in the city area or 40/50/60/80 k zones you are really wasting the grunt and are searching for a speeding ticket.

The response is smooth and hits really hard once (not very long) the boost builds.

Are we happy with the spend? Definately!!!!!!!

IF you can afford the two then get on the phone to Andrew and do it. If anyone in Sydney wants to hear, see and have a ride in the car we can organise something in the near future.

Found this on the Akra site, the infamous butterfly/diverter setup which we don't have

And the down pipes for ref.

Plus the slip on option.
