Get that front up!!
I'm trying to change the oil among other things and cannot for the life of me get the front of my car up. I have a trolly jack, jack stands and ramps and nothing works.. The front is too low even for the ramps..
Whats the best way to get her up? Also, my standard style trolly jack obviously isn't going to fit into the little rectangular plastic jack thingy can i just press directly on it? Same question with the jack stands..

Get 2x4s and stagger then as a mini-ramp to either get a jack under or ride onto the ramps
Similar to this, but the ramp doesn't need to sit on the wood obviously. |

You could drive over some "thick" wooden boards and then use a floor jack at one of the side lifting "pucks". Or just buy a new low profile floor jack. My floor jack fits under the sides of my 135i just fine. Is your car lowered?
Don't forget to use some jack stands. Even when using ramps - they have been known to fail.

Thanks, does anyone have a picture of where the center jack point by the engine is? I can't find it for the life of me.. Also will it ruin the jack points to use the trolly jack on them?

It's also nice because not only is it a quick solution, but the car is raised evenly, and then lowered onto stands evenly, eliminating any chance of moving about on the stands when hoisting the car up side by side.

Im lowered with Scopione splitters. I have to drive up on a pair of 2X10s (barely clears) and that allows me to get my low profile floor jack under the car to jack it up and then get the ramps under the front tires.
Ive tried race ramps and they still don't clear. |
