235/35 and 255/35 18 Tires?
I have just got a pair of style 203 wheels that went on the Z4 performance suspension option. I wanted factory wheels and at least 8" upfront. The fronts are 18 x 8 et47 and rears are 18 x 8.5 et50.
Conti has a new DW tire that looks impressive and are light. They have a 235/35 that is .4" shorter than the stock 215/40 for the front and on the rear I was thinking of the 255/35. I am not lowering the car, though I have also got the M3 sways, tie bars, and wishbones. I do not want to roll or trim fenders for several reasons. Does anyone think these sizes will fit without rubbing? Please help as I need to order the tires soon and really want to avoid rubbing yet use the largest tire that is reasonible. Thanks |

might rub on the strut with that size wheel up front. your moving a little bit closer to the strut (4 mm) and then getting a bigger tire on top of that. But I could be wrong. My buddy has 235 direzza's up front on his stock wheels.

Wouldn't recommend that combination. The diameters of the front and rears do not match and at a guess there is probably at least a 1 inch difference. If you go for 255/35 18 on the rears then a matching front would be 225/40 18 , which would also be a safe option as to rubbing.
