Drivers side folding mirror
2009 128i
I bought the car used and at that time it was not working. Mechanic checked and it gets current but simply does not work. Neither the glass nor the folding works. Any other thing I should check? Can this be repaired? Any ideas welcomed. |

You might need to code it, as I did, since in Canada the folding mirrors is not an option available.

Does the mirror fold when you push the fold button on the door?

Any physical damage to the mirror? Perhaps the motor has died. I'd remove it and see what's going on. The procedure isn't difficult. From what I understand, you can't replace the motor alone.
I just ordered a driver's side mirror on eBay for mine and there are plenty to choose from. |
