Losing washer fluid

'08 135. I bought it 4 weeks ago and there has been a warning symbol on the dash the whole time for low washer fluid. Every time I fill it, all of the fluid just leaks out into a massive puddle from in front of the passenger side front wheel (RHD car). Where is the washer reservoir located? The filler cap is on the driver side, so I don't imagine the reservoir would be on the passenger side of the car.

What part of the washer system is located in front of the passenger side wheel that could be leaking so monumentally? The warning light is really frustrating me.

The reservoir is located between the fender liner and the quarter panel. If you have headlight washers then there are numerous places for a leak to develop. Pop off that fender liner and start hunting.

Does the car have headlight washers? That would be the first place to check.

I thought all 135's had headlight washers. That's how I tell them apart from the 128's at a quick glance from the front.

So I'm thinking it is really a problem with his catalytic converter

Mine had that was well, was leaking at the headlight washers as well as the pump at the tank.

The car has two pumps (windshield/headlights) -- I'm assuming you have the headlight pop-ups. Either way, to access the tank/pumps:

#1) Disconnect and remove the side-marker FIRST. This way, you don't accidentally yank the shit out of/break the connector and/or wiring

#2) Take off the wheel

#3) Remove the wheel-well liner (plastic cover)

#4) There is only one bolt that holds the tank in place. Once you remove it, the tank can be leaned forward enough to access the pump(s)

If I had to guess (based on your description -> leaking on the right side)...the pump grommets probably went to shit. If you need help finding the parts...let me know. If you need more reference pics, here you go:

The factory quick connect (picture above with the blue clip) for the hose has a pretty loose o-ring as I was having leak issues, I found a tighter o-ring and used that one, which worked OK. Been several months now no troubles.

My car is leaking from the left hand side though (driver's side in a LHD car).

Dat Aus > Hmmm. Not familiar with the RHD but I can't imagine that they flipped the tank. Before you take anything apart, take off the bottom engine cover/shield...



...fill up the tank and see where it's leaking from. Right now, I believe you're seeing water on the left side because it's sitting/traveling across the engine cover.
