True. My wife bought the 1M. She gets to drive it to work on rainy days in the summer. I get to drive it on sunny days in the summer, and on the track.

I'd have to disagree with the California, but then again this is coming from someone who hasn't driven one. I think LP-SV or Aventador or v12 vantage is more fitting.

the Porsche description is hilarious

A lot of haters in those commentaries. Which once again only points to how good this car is, otherwise there wouldn't be any...

A whole lotta Camaro/Mustang drivers just popped a vein somewhere small.

You know where.

Hey, I loved my RX8! I miss it slightly since trading it to the BMW dealer.

I'm a girl!!!! The car is a beast though, I'm not sure that many girls would be comfortable in it. One time with the M button on...... it scared me a little.

If you had what I had in 1998 in the middle of Paris at night with my 318ti no ASC-T (that was the name) or a differential lock, wrong aired tires thanks to the mechanic who "checked" the car that very same day, cobble stone street and fresh rain combo (nice 360 degree turns with 5 people inside the car, managed to stop just 1 meter away from a parked bus) and 2 years after that even worse happened at 05.00 a.m. in Almaty, Kazakhstan which again resulted with no harms to me and very little to the car... only after then you would also get deeply rooted "feminine" scare whenever the back of the car starts to tell you "let me go away daddy"

1M is incomparable to that little bastard but maybe I am not that much changed after all. Just these good memories, they keep me alive, safe and sound while sometimes, when time is right, I let myself checking the top speed and whatever possible before that point. But unless you put me on a track on a perfect day, I am not closing the DSC fully off, MDM + sport mode is good enough for now.

My first Snow experience with my 1998 M3 coup was when I spun out in front of a school Bus on a 2 lane road. Talk about "deer in the headlight moment". We locked eyes and both said "oh sh*t". Luckily he had good reflexes and brakes. Even with proper snows the tail end of that car always wanted to come around. MY 94' 125is, my Z3 3.0, and my e46 M3 were much better winter cars. I was worried about the 1M but was pleasantly suprized at how it handled in the snow. Actually the car is not as much as a handful as I expected from the press reviews. It's a car that likes smooth imputs and an experienced driver. Sometimes you just have to be stupid but at the right time, place and conditions. Then it is fun!

BTW my worst handling car was my 1988 VW Scirocco 16V. It was light; relatively powerful with a really cr..py suspension. It was fun though.

Holly
I get the snow tires off this week and head out to Greensboro NC Wed for a road trip.
24 days until our first autocross!!!!!

Sometimes it is good to smell fear. It's your self-preservation side. It doesn't always stop me from doing it.
