When taking a picture, a macro mode shot of the head with plenty of light but no flash is probably best. I can't see much in your photos at all. The last photo doesn't show that the gap opened up too much and seems to show low wear, but it's really hard to tell from the photo. Actually measuring the gap is probably a useful metric to compare.
I don't see anything that looks bad. No excessive carbon build up or damage. Here is what I found: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=800403 I'm just shy of 50k miles and actually just got a fresh set of plugs to replace again. I'm erring on side of changing them too often after seeing how worn my plugs where first time. This seems to be a strong trend for tuned cars.

The type of fuel used(and it's additive package) will also effect what color the spark plugs have.
In the USA you have high sulfur fuels, so I would expect more of a yellow-ish look to the plugs. EU has a low sulfur content in the fuel.

I believe 60K is the mileage for plugs. The best way to tell if they need replacement is keep an eye on your fuel consumption and how well the engine runs (subjective of course).
Anyway, when they were a buck apiece, you could R&R to your heart's content. Now they've gotten fancy with fancy prices. |

BMW says to change your plugs every 45K miles for turbo cars(N54/N55's) For the 1M, BMW says to change the plugs at 30K miles. Many people with a tune - change their plugs every 20 to 25K miles. Here is a label on a M-PPK flash tune on a German 135i....

I ended up replacing my plugs again, second time. I think only about 18k on these, they were actually looking in VERY good shape, but I haven't done any racing since I swapped.
I'll see if I can remember to take pictures and add here and/or my other spark plug change thread.
