Anybody know where to get touch up paint for 135i calipers?

Hi folks,

As the title says, I'm looking for some touch-up paint for the calipers on my 135i. There's some scuffs on the tops of them from previous owners that I'd like to touch up. Can this paint be bought anywhere, or does anybody know where to get something that matches? Or does it have to be special heat-resistant paint?

Thanks

Russ

Isn't the paint either SGM or SG depending on the year?

No idea? Can anybody else clarify? I thought they'd always been the same colour...? Be good if it is, at least I'd be able to get some easily enough.

Well I ended up using a regular touch up pen and that seemed fine. The paint didn't seem to fall off or anything. I don't even think it was an official BMW touch up pen, either.

SGM=2011+ IIRC.

Would also like to know what you used

Hmm, my 2009 has metallic calipers. Either way, I found out the name of the paint colour and went to my local Halfords (general car accessories store here in the UK) and bought a regular touch up pen (like you'd use for stone chips) and used that. The paint never came off or showed signs of degradation, and wasn't even official BMW paint.

Edit* Halfords use the manufacturers paint colour name, so that's all I looked for. The paint wasn't special high temp paint or anything like that, FWIW.

SGM = Sparkling Graphite Metallic. That was a body color in 2008 and the color used for the caliper through at least 2010.

SG = Space Grey. That color replaced SGM as a body color in 2009 and was used on the calipers for LCI cars.
