Sorry sir, we've lost your car!
OK,
So my car came off the boat (the glorious WW ship Otello) last Monday. Rang the dealer last Friday and he tells me that it's in the distribution centre and should be at the dealers early to mid this week. Today's Thursday, and I see this as more like late this week so I ring back to see what's happening, and the same guy tells me "No it isn't here yet" and calls back to say "Oh, there's no record of it in the distribution centre." Now I know I can trust this guy, 'cos he sells cars, right? So I asked him "Does that mean you've lost my car?" "Of course not, we just don't know where it is, right now." I told him I'd ring back tomorrow. Will let you know how it went. Cheers, Alf

Alf, ignore the septics, just keep your dealer accountable and relax.

Not to make you worry more than you are already but...
In todays modern age... BMW does not loose cars. They know where it is! IF a car gets damaged while being transported to you... lots of times the car manufacture will just repair the car at the body shop at the port of entry. These are state of the art body shops. You might just want to really look over your car before you accept it... bc unlike the dealer the manufacture does NOT have to disclose that your car was damaged durring transit. |

Inspect the shit out of the car when you take delivery. Could have been damaged coming off the boat/going through distribution and i wouldn't be surprised if they've taken it to get fixed.

Thanks guys, will inspect closely. Anyhow, it magically turned up again at the distribution centre today. I should get it about Wednesday now (instead of tomorrow as planned).
Cheers, Alf
