Low oil symbol popped up
Hey guys. I have a 2010 135i & a low oil symbol just popped up. It says +1 so I assume its low by 1 quart. Any recommendations to as to what weight oil to top it off with. I only have a few thousand left until the next oil change at BMW. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Actually ANY long life 1 (LL-1) oil. ANY grade: 0w30, 0w40, 5w30 and 5w40. The BMW oils sold at the dealers is 5w30 LL-1, I believe.

To save you some time, LL-01 certified oil is a bit tough to find at retail stores in the US so you might just go to the dealer to get some.

YOu can just do what I do every time... Drive up to the dealer as if your scheduled for service and just ask the valet if he can top your car off. They've done it for me numerous times
